This
course is a Capstone experience for undergraduate majors in the Department
of Biochemistry at the UW-Madison. Course responsibility rotates among
faculty, and this page provides links specific only to those sections
moderated by ACP.
511 students will be instructed
in computer-based molecular graphics (PyMol, DeepView, RasMol) and presentation graphics (Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint) in the BNMC Computer
lab, then paired with partners for the development and presentation
of a professional level, class-length scientific seminar in front of
their peers. Seminar topics will revolve around the biochemistry of protein and nucleic acid structures and the techiques used to create high-tech molecular graphic images. Class participation in the seminar discussions is emphasized.
